Lard is a traditional cooking fat made of pig fat.
It contains healthy cholesterol, is high in vitamin D and has a mild, neutral flavor.
Lard’s smoke point is high, about 200°C, thus, foods fried in lard absorb less grease. This makes it the ideal frying oil, offering fluffier, flakier and crispier chicken and french fries.
